DMX Productions were chosen to design and deliver the full production for Joon Festival in Wembley Arena. Joon festival celebrates the best in music from Nepal and featured Kutmba, Bipul Chettri, Albatross and the Edge Band. The organisers wanted to give the audience a real festival feel show but within the confines of Wembley arena. The design for the show combined an LED wall banner across the front of the stage, whilst on stage massive emphasise was on the lighting as all the acts wanted a real rock and roll feel to their show. The rig featured Robe Pointes, Elation 5R Extreme beams, Elation 16R Washs, Atomics and Sunstrips. Jack Pettit operated the show on a GrandMA2. The lighting was backed up by a Special FX package consisting of CO2 Jets and Confetti cannons. The PA was L’Acoustics VDosc driven by a Pro2 FOH and a PM5D on monitors. The bands all wanted maximum performance time so change overs were reduced to 10 minutes between bands. This was achieved effortlessly by storing all the equipment was on rolling risers, hidden behind onstage drapes, which were incorporated into the design to facilitate these quick change overs. DMX Productions also supplied a camera and vision mixer package for the show along with IMAG screens driven by Panasonic 12k Laser projectors.
